Structured feedback round
Structured critique of creative work using a set language routine: start by appreciating (warm), then refine (cool)—always specific, always based on criteria. A feedback culture that really improves the work.
How the method works
- 1
Present a product or draft; tell authors what you’d like feedback on.
- 2
Warm-up round: specific strengths (“I appreciate … because …”).
- 3
Cool-off round: Questions and suggestions for improvement (“I wonder …”, “Have you considered …?”).
- 4
Authors listen and take notes; they don't defend their work.
- 5
Wrap-up: Authors name two ideas they will put into practice.
